Who               doesn't               love               to               see               and               laugh               at               a               clown?

Better               yet,               what               kid               hasn't               dreamt               of               becoming               a               clown?

Maybe               somewhere               in               the               back               of               your               mind               you're               still               holding               onto               that               dream.

If               so,               it's               never               to               late               to               start               a               new               career.

These               tips               on               becoming               a               clown               can               help               you               get               started.

Clowning               is               not               exactly               the               world's               oldest               profession,               but               it               is               the               world's               oldest               profession               in               the               entertainment               field.

History               shows               us               there               were               clowns               as               far               back               as               ancient               Greece.
To               get               started               in               becoming               a               clown,               here's               a               tip:               you               can               take               one               of               two               approaches.

You               can               either:               1.

Find               a               mentor               to               teach               you               how               to               be               a               clown,               or,               2.

You               can               attend               a               professional               clown               school               and               learn               the               business               there.

Unless               your               last               name               is               Ringling,               Barnum               or               Bailey,               your               best               bet               is               to               choose               the               latter.
Just               perform               a               search               on               the               Internet               and               you'll               find               plenty               of               clown               schools               across               the               world.

There               are               clown               schools               in               Ohio,               New               York,               Wisconsin,               California,               Florida,               Alabama,               New               Hampshire,               France,               Germany,               Sweden,               Spain,               Italy               and               Argentina.

Most               of               the               schools               are               brick-and-mortar,               but               there               are               even               clown               classes               you               can               take               online.
Check               out               the               details               of               each               school               you're               interested               in               attending.

Many               of               them               have               websites               you               can               visit               to               find               out               specific               information               such               as               class               schedules               and               enrollment               fees               and               tuition.
Clown               schools               can               teach               you               everything               you               need               to               know,               such               as               face               painting,               mannerisms,               proper               costumes,               putting               together               skits,               choosing               your               character               and               some               basic               skills               such               as               balloon               tying               that               will               help               entertain               your               audiences.
All               clowns               have               some               sort               of               skill,               such               as               tying               balloons               together               to               make               animals,               juggling               objects               (the               stranger               the               objects,               the               better),               singing,               dancing               or               performing               magic               acts.
Here's               another               tip:               before               you               take               that               plunge,               though,               you               should               understand               what               it               takes               in               becoming               a               successful               clown.

Clowns               work               at               children's               birthday               parties,               in               the               circus,               at               amusement               parks,               at               public               functions               such               as               fairs               and               festivals,               at               fundraisers,               in               hospitals,               and               a               few               of               the               talented               ones               even               get               jobs               on               television               shows.

No               matter               what,               clowns               have               to               be               funny.

They               have               to               smile               even               if               they're               dealing               with               a               not-so-happy               audience,               such               as               a               bunch               of               whiny               five-year-olds.

Whatever               your               clown               persona               is,               you               have               to               be               able               to               stay               in               character,               no               matter               what.
One               of               the               advantages               in               becoming               a               clown               is               that               the               job               holds               no               barriers               when               it               comes               to               race,               color               or               creed.

Clowns               can               be               male               or               female,               African               Americans,               Native               Americans,               Caucasian,               et               cetera.

What               really               matters               is,               the               person               who               wants               to               become               a               clown               is               a               natural               performer               who               loves               to               have               fun               and               make               his               or               her               audience               smile.
And               finally,               if               you're               thinking               about               becoming               a               clown,               it's               one               business               you               can               be               assured               of               a               long-term               career               in.

There               is               always               a               need               for               a               good               clown               in               this               unsteady,               often               sad,               world               we               all               live               in.
